Free Robotics Class for Beginners

LittleBits module, circuit diagram, scratch programing, python

Learn the basic concepts behind robotics and computer programing

We’ll use the LittleBits system to learn the basics of electronics and robotics, then advance to TinkerCad Circuits tool to simulate and learn real-world electronics design! We’ll also use the Scratch programming language to learn the basics of computer programming, then advance to a real-world programing language! At the end of the class, you’ll get a chance to play with the code for some of the Makerspace’s existing robot projects, and even add some functionality!

No experience with computer programming or electronic engineering is needed, just basic computer experience and a curious mind!

This class will be a two-day series, scheduled some time after the spring semester. Let us know if you’re interested, and we’ll notify you of the date! Download the flyer, and spread the word!

This event was made possible by The Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation. Any UMass Boston student is welcome to attend this event, but it really is a beginners class, and so those with advanced Computer Science or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering backgrounds may find the content too basic for their interest.
