After receiving a BS in Environmental Science from the School for the Environment in 2018, Bryan McCormack went on to work as a research associate and hydrographer in the Marine Geology department for the Center for Coastal Studies where he assisted in all aspects of both the Seafloor Mapping program and the Land Sea Interaction program. He then transitioned to his current role as a graduate student on the MS in Marine Science and Technology track, with an expected graduation date of summer 2022.
His current work involves the detection, localization, and differentiation of objects on the seafloor using amplitude backscatter from the EdgeTech 6205 Phase-Measuring Sidescan Sonar.
