As we draw the grading and feedback process of Weekly Write-up 1 to a close, please remember that while it’s normal to have questions after your write-up is graded, we have protocols to follow.
Almost any answer you need will be in the feedback of your submission. Please review that first.
If you have a question about the feedback, please follow the policy described on this page, #6.
While you are welcome to contact the embedded tutor if you need informal or quick help, you should not contact graders for this course in any way. I don’t provide their contact information for a reason; you should not look it up on your own.

All sections are welcome to join these sessions.

As of Tuesday September 19, we are still grading WW1s. The first write-up is usually the one that requires the most feedback, so they take the longest to grade. The later you submit, the lower on the to-do list your submission will be for grading. WW1s are also the most leniently graded writing assignment in the course. Please fully review your feedback for WW1 (see #4 and #7 here) – things that may not earn a deduction this time may earn significant deductions for WW2 and beyond if they have been brought to your attention and are not taken into account for future assignments. If you have any questions about your assignment or grade, please see if they are answered on this page. If not, reach out to me as soon as you can.
Reminder:
Are you doing everything you can to earn top marks for your weekly write-up? There are many resources on this site to help you do your best. Please re-read these pages (reading them the first time was assigned at the beginning of the semester, so everything should be familiar):

The add/drop period is over today. I will do my best to update grades in the next 48 hours.
Those who were waiting on the waitlist now have final decisions one way or the other. Please continue attending class only if you are fully enrolled in Wiser and have Blackboard access.

Due to some shuffling in the CS department, my office has changed. It’s just two rooms away from the old one.
Old office: M-3-201-06
New office: M-3-201-32
Down the main CS hallway, when almost to the end make a left, second door on the left.

Please familiarize yourself with this website, as along with Blackboard it will be the main online resource for you throughout the semester. It is imperative that you click through all the links you see on the right side of the page (or at the bottom of the page on mobile) so you’ll know what’s expected in this class.
I’m looking forward to having you in class!

As we prepare for the end of the semester, please note the following policy from the syllabus:
Students with a course average of 85.00 or higher on Day 23 may request via email to be exempt from the final paper on that day. Exemption grants or rejections will be sent by the professor within 24 hours. Exemption requests must be sent by Wednesday, July 26. Students who have not requested exemption by that date are expected to complete the final paper.
When you email your request, please let me know if you plan to attend the optional workshop day (Thursday, July 27).
