Students from outside of the CS/IT departments are strongly encouraged to participate! And CS/IT students are more than welcome.

  • AI Contest: Form an interdisciplinary (each team must have students from different departments/colleges) team and create a well thought out proposal for an AI-based project. Very strongly encouraged to have a faculty advisor for proposals***. $50 from PEAAII for each student who participates in the team effort provided all requirements are met. Faculty advisor can provide submission link. Rolling submissions; all submissions must be in by September 29, 2024.

  • AI Hackathon (open to all): A multi-day event during which to work on your proposed project with guidance from Paul English’s tech team. Rolling submissions.
  • AI project symposium (open to all): Wednesday, October 30, 2024. Present your project to an audience of university community members, including Paul English. $1,000 prize for first place.
  • Paul English gives AI Institute talk on Zoom (open to all): Weds, September 11, 2024 @ 11:00am (past event)
  • AI Ethics talk on Zoom (open to all): Friday, September 20, 2024 @ 11:30am – Zoom chat will be open for networking with students from other departments and colleges for AI Contest team formation.
