The below information was shared during the Day 12 lecture; I am typing it out here for your convenience.
The midterm will be taken on Blackboard. It will take place at the same time as your original exam, which is your normal section time. You will have 75 minutes to complete the exam, and it must be completed in one sitting. When time expires, your test will automatically be saved and submitted. You may use your handwritten notes, but no other resources, digital or otherwise.
The test will be located in the Course Materials section of Blackboard. When your class time begins, please go there to access the test.
If you have questions during the test, I will be available in the “Office Hours” Zoom meeting room slightly before, during, and slightly after testing time. The ID is 915 9531 3284. A direct link is here.
You will need to enable your webcam and microphone if you wish to actually speak, otherwise I will be as active as possible on the chat.
Test settings are in place to reduce the temptation to be dishonest on this ethics exam, including but not limited to: you must finish the exam in one sitting, there is a 75 minute timer in place, opening tabs, windows, or documents outside of blackboard will result in a label added to your exam that will render it void (you can still join the video chat for class without issue), different versions of the test for different students, and others. If cheating is suspected and confirmed, all students involved will be dismissed from the course.
