Hi everyone,
To keep confusion to a minimum, I will post information here each class day. This post will mimic the first few minutes of class in which I summarize what is going on and what is due soon.
Our first online class day is Tuesday, March 24. According to the class calendar, this is Day 15.
What’s expected of you on Day 15:
- Check your homework groups (below), then post your homework answers and responses in the right blackboard folder. Homework questions, as usual, are here. Instructions for posting should be self explanatory once you access course materials, but if not, please view specific instructions here. Remember that the number of times you post should be equal to the number of people in your group, including yourself.
Discussion boards will be open before classes officially start.
Your own homework answers post is due by 3pm on the class day so that others can comfortably comment on it by midnight.
For comments, I expect about the same depth as you might use in class. That means you’re sharing thoughts as they come to you: I expect more than “I agree” or “I disagree,” but I also don’t expect a paragraph of research. The goal is to interact organically with your group. - “Attend” the lecture. You can either join the live lecture at 11am (strongly recommended), or watch the recording on your own schedule (must be before midnight so you can do relevant homework in a timely fashion). Instructions for joining each lecture session are here.
- There are no project presentations today, but they start next time (!). ALL students must comment on each project in their section. Please make sure you know how to do your own project, and comment on others’, by reading the instructions here.
- For the rest of the semester, you will be using your class section number daily. Make sure you know which section you are in. If your class meets at 11am, you are in section 01. If your class meets at 12:30pm, you are in section 02. If your class meets at 5:30pm, you are in section 03.
- WW4 is due, as scheduled, this Sunday. Please review your feedback on WW3 to ensure minimum deductions.
