Feedback vs. Action

Dear students,

I deeply appreciate those of you who have taken the time to provide feedback on the graders in CSIT285. Much of the feedback is specific and actionable, so it will be easy to convert to concrete steps toward improvement.

However, please recognize that anonymous feedback will not result in any changes for your papers that have already been graded. As stated at the beginning of the semester, if you have any issues with how your write-up was graded, it should be brought to my attention as soon as you are aware of it. I am happy to review papers and it is not impossible that grades improve after I review them.* Of course, I cannot conduct such a review if the only indication of your issue is shared via anonymous survey. You will actually need to set up an office hours visit and discuss your thoughts with me. The workshop classes at the end of the semester may also provide time for these consultations.

*Grades may also decline.

Best,

AP
