Patriots Day Events

The events that occurred in Boston on Marathon Monday weigh heavy on our hearts.  Our sympathy goes to those who lost their lives and incurred injuries, as well as their loved ones.  And we have immense gratitude for all that the first responders and public safety officials of the city have done in the face of great turmoil and danger.

Events like these can impact each of us in unique ways, regardless of proximity to the event.  We recognize that our students come from a wide range of backgrounds that, when combined with a tragedy like this, can result in a variety of reactions.  We would like to remind you that there are staff and services available to help you process this through the Counseling Center on campus.

If you live or work in the Copley area and are facing any logistical or practical obstacles; or interference with your courses, please let us know.  Our advising staff can help you access specific resources and help you navigate any current hurdles.  We will be available to talk with any student impacted by the events of Monday afternoon during our business hours, once the campus re-opens.  If you need to see an advisor in our office about this outside of our regular walk-in hours, please mention this blog post at the front desk in our office (M-5-610) so that someone can talk with you.

You are all in our thoughts.
