We are pleased to announce that Sophan Sok has joined the UMass Boston and College of Management communities as our Career Specialist.

Sophan Sok is an experienced professional with a background in career services, recruitment, postsecondary support, non-profit, and retail. As a Career Specialist, she assists a diverse array of students with their career decision making and job searches. This includes resume writing, mock interviews, self-assessments, and various workshops. Prior to joining the College of Management at UMass Boston, Sophan worked with the Boston Private Industry Council, a public-private partnership that connects businesses, the Boston public schools, and higher education, government, labor, and community organizations to create innovative workforce and education solutions. While there, she was responsible for the majority of community and business outreach for CityLab Academy at Boston University while providing counseling and advocacy support to Boston school graduates transitioning from high school to higher education in order to increase college retention and completion rates as part of the Success Boston Initiative.
