Class: MBAMGT 671L: Introduction to Environmental Management

DateTuesdays 5:30pm-8:15 pm, Fall 2019 with Prof. Vesela Veleva

  • Learn how companies can create competitive advantage by implementing environmental/sustainability strategies.
  • Learn about different sustainability tools such as carbon footprint analysis, green design, product life-cycle assessment, cradle-to-cradle, eco-branding, zero waste, and sustainability reporting.
  • Develop hands-on experience and skills in identifying, assessing and implementing environmental strategies that align with business goals.
  • The course is based on case studies, in-class discussions, presentations by business representatives, and a final project based on solving a real-life environmental management challenge for a local company.
  • No prior experience in management or the environmental field is necessary and the course will benefit students in all majors and specializations interested in environmental/sustainability issues.

Hacking Public Health

Join us at the first-ever hackathon at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health!

Below is a link for a First Time EVER Hackathon at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health on Saturday, April 20th, 2019 from 8:30 pm-5:00 pm.

Registration is now open to participate in Hacking Public Health, a hackathon hosted by the Public Health Innovation x Technology Student Forum at the Harvard Chan School. A hackathon is an time-bound “invention marathon” where people from different backgrounds come together to learn, build, and share their creations in a supportive setting (no technical experience required!). Come develop an idea to address a significant public health problem and compete for prize money! The event, co-hosted by student organizations at the Harvard Chan School, HBS, and HKS, and sponsored by the Harvard Chan Student Innovation Fund, Deloitte, and Partners HealthCare Pivot Labs, will include innovation-focused workshops and coaching sessions with mentors from across Boston’s healthcare innovation community. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
