Class: MBAMGT 671L: Introduction to Environmental Management
Date: Tuesdays 5:30pm-8:15 pm, Fall 2019 with Prof. Vesela Veleva
- Learn how companies can create competitive advantage by implementing environmental/sustainability strategies.
- Learn about different sustainability tools such as carbon footprint analysis, green design, product life-cycle assessment, cradle-to-cradle, eco-branding, zero waste, and sustainability reporting.
- Develop hands-on experience and skills in identifying, assessing and implementing environmental strategies that align with business goals.
- The course is based on case studies, in-class discussions, presentations by business representatives, and a final project based on solving a real-life environmental management challenge for a local company.
- No prior experience in management or the environmental field is necessary and the course will benefit students in all majors and specializations interested in environmental/sustainability issues.
