Congratulations to those of you that will be completing your degree requirements this spring or summer.
How to apply for graduation:
The process requires you to complete the graduation application (see below for link to form). Submit the completed application to Tara Shea located in the McCormack Building 5th floor office number 613 no later than February 4th (to provide enough time for your application to be reviewed, approved, signed and returned to you). Along with the form you will need to include your unofficial transcripts which you can print off WISER. Tara will approve your graduation application, sign it and then contact you (via email to the address you list on your application) to let you know it is available to be picked up. After you retrieve your signed form you will then submit the signed form with a check made payable to UMass Boston, amount $180 to the Registrar’s office, located in the Campus Center, 4th floor. The fee is for your diploma and is required whether you intend to participate in commencement or not. You will need to turn in the signed form to the Registrars office by February 11th (May graduates) March 11th for August graduates.

b)print off unofficial transcripts from WISER
c)deliver both the transcripts and completed application Tara’s office M- 5- 613
d)after receiving confirmation email your application is approved, retrieve the application from Tara’s office M-5-613
e) bring the approved and signed graduation application to the Registrar’s Office, Campus Center 4th floor, along with check made payable to UMass Boston in the amount of $180 (credit cards are not accepted)
f) you will receive a hard copy letter in the mail and/or email from the Registrar’s Office sometime in May after your transcripts are reviewed that everything is all set, or the letter may inform you of anything issues with your graduation application
g) May and August graduates will be invited by the Registrar’s Office to participate in commencement which will be on Friday, June 3, 2011.
h) All students diploma’s are sent in the mail to the address in their WISER account by the Registrar’s Office. Once your graduation application has been approved by the College of Management and you pick it up, you will need to contact the Registrar’s Office with any questions pertaining to your degree application, check being processed ect.
(please note: the form has Tara’s old office number listed as where to turn in the form M-5-606, her new office number is M-5-613, be sure to drop off the form in the office that has her name listed on the door)
