Research Immersion Project (RIP)

Students carry out guided research projects & learn lab techniques.

Winter Break: January 6 – 24, 2020

A non-credit, course-based research experience.

Students do not pay tuition or fees.

Possible projects include:

Isolation and identification of environmental microbes

Growth inhibition of fungal pathogens using probiotics

DNA extraction, PCR amplification, & Next-Generation

Sequencing of the amphibian skin microbiome
