MS program in Infectious Disease and Global Health (MS-IDGH)

Our MS-IDGH program is focused on helping students build their careers in infectious disease and global health, health sciences, or related disciplines. You can learn about our program by accessing our website (http://vet.tufts.edu/msidgh/).

The program provides individualized attention for a small cohort of students (15-18) from diverse backgrounds. Students work together on projects and in the laboratory to attain the skills necessary to address the evolving serious threats to human and animal health. They develop and enhance their communication, presentation, analytical, critical thinking, and leadership skills–the attributes needed for long-term success in any scientific career they ultimately choose.

We are proud of our alumni, who have embarked on exciting careers in a variety of organizations, including academia and the biopharma industry. Our program has greatly enhanced competitiveness of our alumni to get into professional schools and many of them have been admitted to DVM, MD, DO, and PA programs. Some have gone to PhD programs. For a sampling of positions that our alumni currently hold, visit https://grad.vet.tufts.edu/ms-infectious-disease-and-global-health/career-opportunities/.

Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions by emailing Dr. Abhineet Sheoran, Program Director (abhineet.sheoran@tufts.edu) or Ms. Christine Curran, Program Coordinator (Christine.curran@tufts.edu). We will be happy to talk to you by phone, Skype or WebEx to answer your questions or tell you more about our MS-IDGH program.
