Don’t miss a fantastic event happening on Monday, February 28 @5pm on zoom: https://umassboston.zoom.us/j/96050460943:
Renowned Japanese film scholar Daisuke Miyao (University of California at San Diego) will be discussing the iconic film Rashomon (Japan 1950, dir. Kurosawa Akira), widely considered one of the greatest films ever made. Ever heard of the “Rashomon effect,” which is named after the film?
Not only will Professor Miyao’s talk offer new perspectives on the film, but the event will also provide a fantastic opportunity to (re-)watch Rashomon.
Here are two ways to do it:
- in the “theater” on Thursday, Feb 17 @2pm in UH 1300
- on Kanopy: https://umb.kanopy.com/video/rashomon
Please share it with friends and on social media!
Hope I’m getting into the meeting. Right. I did repeat.
