Student Matters

The application deadline is July 1 for fall 2023 admission to the Critical and Creative Thinking graduate program. Application instructions are available here. Inquiries are welcome at cct@umb.edu to request more information about the program or to speak with a program representative.

Summer 2023 courses are open for non-degree registration. Prospective students are welcome to register for the following. See the full descriptions here.

Transforming Academia: Stories of Inclusion and Belonging

The UMB-DF/HCC Partnership is hosting a workforce development symposium titled “Transforming Academia: Stories of Inclusion and Belonging” on Friday, May 5th. Join us as panelists share stories of their experiences advancing equity, inclusion and belonging with their research environments, departments, or institutions. In-person attendees will have the opportunity to participate in panelist-led small group discussions to reflect on their own experiences and collectively brainstorm how their shared storied can support ongoing efforts at their own institutions and workplaces. CEHD Extravaganza
Hosted by the UMass Boston College of Education and Human Development
Thursday, May 11th, 2023, 4:00-7:00pm
UMass Boston Campus Center, Ballrooms B & C
The event will be a gathering to highlight the work of colleagues and to celebrate our extended college community and collaborators. There will be refreshments served throughout the afternoon and music. There are many opportunities to share your work and we hope you will consider doing so! In person activities will be in the Campus Center Ballroom (B&C) from 4–7pm where there will be an exhibit area highlighting student research presentations. Alumni and community members are invited, participating, and welcome.
