CCT Community Open House: Thinking Differently About Burnout
Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, 4:00-5:30pm EDT
Online in Zoom, free and open to all.
RSVP here to receive Zoom login details before the event. See the full description.
Description: Burnout is a topic of discussion that can be found everywhere from academic journals to happy hour gatherings. With the recent COVID-19 pandemic, the American Psychological Association acknowledges increased strains, stressors, and yes, burnout, at all-time high levels. Yet efforts to define this undesirable term, avoidance of its symptoms, and the finality often associated with burnout all commonly overlook a critical and creative approach to reframing the burnout process. In this dialogue, we will investigate alternate perspectives to the common, unidirectional negativity that envelops burnout. We hope to provide a space for reflection and planned action regarding burnout for not only the individual participants, but for associated peers and communities as well…more.
