Bicycling postcard, Ex-sailor T. C. Pizzo, circa 1920-1929
The proceeds generated from postcard sells funded ex-sailor T. C. Pizzo on his all American Bicycle Jaunt. This postcard and the jaunt was meant to demonstrate the endurance of a U.S. Sailor chained and handcuffed to his Bicycle. Pizzo’s trip was a wager with The Pansy Motor and Cycle Works, Denver, Colorado. During the entire trip, Pizzo was to visit each Governor of the 48 states.
