The Healey Library building and the Archives Research Room are closed to patrons through the fall semester, but we’ve still got you covered! University Archives and Special Collections (UASC) staff members are working remotely. For assistance, archival reference and research support, and all other inquiries, please email library.archives@umb.edu.


 

Reference and Research Assistance

On-site access to University Archives and Special Collections materials is currently suspended. Many of our collections have been digitized and are available online through our website, Open Archives. Please contact us at library.archives@umb.edu for assistance with possible remote access to archival materials.

Archival Instruction

Our Primary Sources for Online Instruction research guide provides an introduction to primary source research for students at all levels, as well as several activities that focus on digitized archival materials which may be conducted remotely. For faculty who are interested in incorporating remote archival and primary source research into their classes, please contact us at library.archives@umb.edu for information on how we may assist you.

Donating Archival Materials

While University Archives and Special Collections cannot currently accept donations of materials, University Archives and Special Collections staff members are available to answer any questions you have about donating materials. Please contact us at library.archives@umb.edu for information on how we may assist you remotely.

Processing Archival Materials

Processing physical archival materials is on hold while the Healey Library is closed. University Archives and Special Collections staff members are working remotely to process select born-digital collections and projects to enhance user access.

Mass. Memories Road Show

The Bellingham Mass. Memories Road Show, originally scheduled for April 4, and the Malden Mass. Memories Road Show, originally scheduled for May 2, have both been postponed.
