Urban Scholars: Dissecting
On Monday, August 5th, Urban Scholars’ students dissected a shark, frog, mouse, and a cat in their Biology class. These brave students were excited to open up animals and study their anatomy. Students also learned how to use biological tools like scalpels, tweezers, and forceps properly. It was fun to cover this activity because I saw how much hands-on learning Urban Scholars students received this summer.
this looks very awesome and i think its a good thing that theys kids get to dissect frogs
It was actually really great for me. I guess that the program is an opportunity to those who have never been dissecting animals before. For me, personally it was a first experience for me dissecting a cat before.
Very interesting, I think its good that these kids are able to learn key concepts of biology and able to do these type of experiments outside of a standard BPS science class.
The students did an awesome job! We identified major organs in each of the animals.
This is so great activity and that student so great
