A Day in a Life with Camp Shriver

On Thursday, July 31st, Demaris, a guest photographer, and I got to cover Camp Shriver for an entire day. Camp Shriver follows a sports based curriculum and students are required to stay active throughout the whole day. We got to speak with and observe see a groups of students encouraging and engaging with each one another. A camper named Michael said “I would always return to Shriver because I get to make so many friends every year.” When all of the activities were finished, we joined them for lunch; most wanted to finish first so they could have more free time to play with their counselors. Overall, was a real pleasure to cover Camp Shriver and to see how much it has grown over the years.
