End of an Era

This was the last summer.

This was my last summer at the urban scholars program.

And this was my last summer before I entered my senior year in high school.

This school year I will be entering a new time in my life where I’ll have to make decisions about my future. Participating in programs like Urban Scholars and MLK Scholars gave me new opportunities. With Urban Scholars I met new people and was able to make connections that can help me later on. I was also able to receive an internship working at UMB-IT Web Publishing through MLK Scholars.

This summer was one to remember. It was my first time participating in an internship and I benefited a lot from it.

I learned a lot of skills from this internship, from both these programs, and i’ll always remember them as the paths to my success. Without having these opportunities, I wouldn’t have gotten as far as I did.

This is the end of an old era and the beginning of a new one, and thanks to these resources and programs I’am able to make the best out my future.
