Urban Scholars' Northeastern Tour

Urban Scholars’ Northeastern Tour

The rising seniors and juniors of the Urban Scholars program visited the Northeastern University campus on July, 15. Their tour guide, a current senior at the university, took them around to the scenic locations on campus that included: various eateries, the black box theater, underclassmen residence halls, and the John A. and Marcia E. Curry Student Center.

Students learned about the university’s admissions requirements, and took note of what the school has to offer them before they begin their own college journeys. The Urban Scholars program believes that the more awareness a student has about college, then the more likely the student will try to get into selective schools. At the end of the tour, students’ interest in Northeastern University had grown with many saying the experience was worthwhile.

I had a fun time learning about the university and covering the program.
