I’m Amanda. I studied languages, taught French and Spanish in Dallas ISD for years, moved to France, and now live in Boston. I earned my PhD from the University of Massachusetts, Boston, in 2020.

I currently teach Ethics in Computer Science at the University of Massachusetts. My research interests include Algorithmic and Automation Bias, AI Ethics, Educational Technology Policy, Governmental Regulation of Big Tech and Big Data companies, and Broadening Participation in Computing. When I’m not busy with teaching or research, I create Youtube videos for people trying to learn French or Spanish.
