January 2025: I am collaborating with Professor Haehn and several undergraduate students on a paper entitled CTRL + Empower: Lived Experiences of Black Women and Latinas in Computer Science at an Urban Public University. The project entails participatory action research with Black and Indigenous Women of Color (BIWOC) (Black and Latina) computing students, documenting their lived experiences and opportunities for improvement for the CS department.
September 2024: I am working on a paper tentatively entitled Press Release Ethics in AI: performative business “ethics” in for-profit AI companies which aims to present a critical analysis of business, academic, societal, and individual ethics policies and responsibilities in the age of AI.
I am an AI Ethics Faculty Mentor at the Paul English Applied AI Institute at UMB. Here is a page with the current events. All are welcome to attend the talks.
Spring 2025: Please see my student research page to follow (and even participate in!) projects I am currently mentoring.
