Greta Thunberg

Addressing the problems of climate change, and going on strike
Challenging people of power, wanting immediate change. She’s inspiring to many young people to speak out and have a voice for change.
People think that Greta is aggressive, but she just happen to speak with passion
Summer of 2018- held a School Strike for Climate.
- Her mother was an opera singer and her father was an actor.Greta was diagnosed with Asperger Syndrome (ASD, also known as an autism spectrum disorder), signifies why she also has a deep passion for climate control, people with ASD focus deeply on their interest and ideas.
Her biggest achievement is raising public awareness of climate change across the world. I think her goal is achieved, she’s done what she can, many stand behind her, and will continue to do so. (The Greta Effect)
- Everyone might hate on Greta, especially politicians, Donald Trump mocks her on twitter “Greta must work on her anger management problems”’, Vladimir Putin describes her as ill informed. A German 18 yr old, claims that she is ‘Anti-Greta’, and states that Greta has no knowledge, and doesn’t understand what she’s talking about.
- Greta has been detained about 2 times. She was arrested by Dutch police at a protest in The Hague- protest against fossil fuels subsidies ,many protesters were blocking a major highway.
- Awards she has won:
In 2019- the youngest Time Person of the Year.
Another award in 2019- “Right Livelihood Award (alternative Nobel Prize)
Listed as Forbes world’s 100 most powerful women.
