Internship Position – Marketing Intern
Job Description
- Intern will be working directly with sales team and will be assigned projects that will require communication between sales manager, intern and sales team
- Advertising campaigns including door to door marketing and cold calling
- Follow up with previous customers
- Assistance in launching a customer referral program
- Use of Twitter, Facebook, Linked in and other social media mediums
Qualifications
- Ability to use email, phone, Skype, and Constant Contact
- Ability to adapt to a changing industry quickly and devise methods of explaining industry changes to potential clients
- Intern will be responsible for inbound leads and calls and will utilize a customer resource management (CRM) system already in place
- Intern must be competent in Microsoft Office including but not limited to Excel, Word, Power Point and Publisher.
- Intern will be expected to learn how to utilize the marketing features of Facebook, Constant Contact, and other similar services and programs
- Intern must be willing to learn about renewable energy with a focus on solar power. There will be a heavy focus on economics of renewable energy
- Intern will be expected to want to understand renewable energy and its value. This will take more than direct training and will require some additional home based reading to understand the industry
- Experience utilizing marketing tools and CRM programs
- Speak clearly and confidently and be able speak with potential customers.
- Intern should have interest in sales development and have the ability to utilize new skills learned with company and previous sales experience to speak with potential clients.
Compensation
- 20 hours per week
- $12 per hour
