Herman Miller, a nationally recognized design firm, has announced a contest, asking college students: “What makes your campus green?”  The winning video will earn it’s creators a cash prize of $2500, and there are cash awards for second and third place as well.

So think it over… what makes UMB green?  Is it the variety of “green operations” the campus has? Is it found in existing and planned buildings on campus?  Is it most commonly recognized in how so many people get to campus? Is it in the classroom and what we learn? Or among students and other individuals on campus?

Check out the contest rules, grab a video camera, and get creative.  Spring Break starts March 12.  Contest Deadline is April 6.  $5000 in total prizes is being awarded. You do the math.
