Professors and doctoral students of the Applied Linguistics Department are regular presenters at the American Association for Applied Linguistics (AAAL) Conference. This year our team is excited to be in Portland for AAAL 2023 and present our research in various strands such as sociolinguistics, second and foreign language pedagogy, discourse analysis, language policy, teacher education, multilingualism, antiracism, decolonization, identity, the connection of language, gender, and sexuality, and connection between language and ideology.
