APLING Sweater Weather Picnic

APLING celebrated the beginning of the semester with our fall Sweater Weather Picnic 2022 on Castle Island. We welcomed our amazing new cohort of Ph.D. students Jacqueline Sevillano Campo, Jasen Sousa, Rachel Brainard, and Wonguk Cho. To stay warm in the Boston wind, we ate delicious empanadas and drank hot chocolate and coffee. Nasiba, one of the Ph.D. candidates, treated us with her sweet and tasty homemade Honey Cake. Traditionally, the picnic was full of chats about our summer vacations, hobbies, food, and, of course, plans for research.

Sincere thanks to our Program Manager Evy, Professor Carhill Poza, and Doc Students Vannessa and Iuliia, for coordinating the event.
