Greetings From Rosie

My name is Rosellen Feliz, but I prefer to be called Rosie. I am sixteen years old, and a rising senior at the Jeremiah E. Burke high school.

I am currently an intern for the Urban Scholars program, a pre-collegiate program at UMass Boston which I have been apart of for three years. This summer I will be working on the Summer Youth Blog in collaboration with the Urban Scholars program, the John Hancock MLK Summer Scholars Program, and the UMass Boston “IT” department.

I have been nourished with a plethora of experiences, and I am grateful to have people that helped shape the person I am today. After I graduate high school, I plan to attend college and pursue higher education.

I aspire to be a world renowned surgeon, but I am still trying to navigate life and enjoy every opportunity that comes my way. This summer I will learn new things and gain some experience in journalism while working with the blog. I am extremely ecstatic to be here, working with all of these programs. Thank you for having me!
