2014 Summer Transportation Institute

2014 Summer Transportation Institute

This year, Tramel and I are excited to introduce the Summer Transportation Institute, a part of the Summer Youth Blog. This is a two week program where high school students get an opportunity to explore the transportation industry. During this time, the students get a chance to go to the Logan Airport control tower, use vehicle simulators (airplane, race car, etc.), and visit the Volpe Center. The program also offers students sailing and kayaking lessons. Tatevick, a mentor for the Summer Transportations Institute, said that she is looking  forward to the new events this summer such as rocket launching and a helicopter activity. We are thrilled to have the Summer Transportation Institute on our blog and can’t wait to cover them this summer.
