Shaka's blog on Mashups

Mashups thus far has been an interesting experience for me.  I’ve learned a lot during my research of the topic. Mashups could be useful in your personal life and also in the business world. I’m always eager to learn the new technology’s that are presented to me.

It wasn’t until I was given this assignment that I became somewhat familar with mashups. Before this assignment I had no clue what it was or that it even existed.

From what I read I understand that a mashup is a web page that allows you to mix content from various sources. You can combine things such as music, presentations and various others. I think mashups are pretty cool.

Map mashups seem to be my favorite thus far. Map mashup’s may be useful in various ways. You could utilize map mashups to plan a vacation, or even as a marketing tool.

Map mashups could show the various countries, cities, and states that a hotel may be located in. You would  be able to see the area around the hotel and even the various attractions around the hotel. This could assist someone in making plans for their next vacation.
