Memory Lane (4/23/17)
Recently, me and my friend got together after a long while not seeing each other in real life. Most of our time are spent online together gaming. Since my life got filled with more responsibilities, and priorities, I haven’t spend that much time with him. We used to spend hours upon hours just talking to each other on Skype and playing random games. Now I only have time to spend with him once in a while because of other priorities. So we recently, got to spend time together, and when we were sitting at my computer, we got on one of the games that we always play with each other. We looked at the old footage of the games we downloaded and I realized how much I value the memories with him. Even though it’s not that long ago that these things happened but it seems like a millennia ago. Life goes by too fast these days when you don’t pay attention to it. Sometimes, I think you should spend a day where you do things that you don’t get to do as much anymore to remember how much you love it. It doesn’t matter if it’s reading, gaming, or spending the day with someone. You should take a moment and pause what is going on with your busy life, and enjoy what you have around you.
Sharing with no credits(4/18)
This topic have been bothering me recently. I see this a lot especially on social media pages that likes to share videos or photos. I find it extremely wrong to take something from another person and post it on your page, and when it gets viral, you take all the credits for it. That’s just plain wrong, but a lot of the sites now do it. This is basically plagiarism and no one would ever do that when they are in a professional environment where there is consequences when you do it. Then why do you do it on the internet? People would answer that with “because there’s no rules against it” but I think it’s their greed or they just don’t have any morals when they do it. Not only do they not give credit sometimes when it’s obviously a re-post with watermark on it, it would still happen. I don’t know how this issue can be fixed but I hope that people will get their content stolen, and will realized what it’s like being on the other’s shoes.
Click baits (4/15)
I hate click baits, I feel like this is the worst thing that have ever happened on the internet. This is everywhere, it goes from Youtube, Facebook, and majority of news site. The reason I hate it is because the title is very misleading that it makes you think it would be something interesting but it’s actually not. When you see a video or article with a click bait title on it, the chances are you will click on it. The content would have the slightest thing that the title used it to create with, and you would be so disappointed when it doesn’t have what you were looking for. There are pages or plug ins to prevent click baits now. I don’t remember what the plug in is specifically called but it would save a significant amount of time in your daily life. Since most people would be on their phone checking on social media most of the time they spend on their phone. If there is a campaign to stop click baits from happening anymore than it already is I would definitely get behind it.
Airlines (5/3)
When you see the entry title for this you probably have guessed what it’s going to be about and you’re right. It’s about the incident that just happened recently with United Airline where they assaulted a man. I’ve flown with United before a few times and this is probably the worst thing that could ever happened to them publicity wise. Everyone who have flown United before probably know that their planes aren’t up to date like other companies, or are they keen on being on time. I don’t know why anyone even chooses to fly with them anymore but I wasn’t even surprise when this incident happens. I think that it’s very unfortunate a middle age men were involve in this. The airline handled the situation very poorly, I don’t know if the man were asking to be taken away with forces but this incident makes anything small happen with an airline it would be on social media immediately. Just in the past 2 weeks, I saw news of a woman who got “hit” by a stroller or something like that on her way on the plane. A guy who got kicked out of a flight because he went to the bathroom. It’s getting out of hand of what media is posting anymore. These incidents probably happens more than we ever know of but because of what happened to United the spotlight is all shining on every Airlines out there now.
