2/20- Roles in family

I came to the realization that there are roles in the family that I never realized before. Like recently, I just started to do grocery shopping because my mom is working most of the time. I never realized how hard it is to grocery shop. There’s so much planning to do and when you don’t really know how to cook you would never know what to buy for the week. After the planning part, the biggest struggle I faced is picking fruits, meats, and brands for things. When you walk into the produce section to grab anything there’s so many type of tomatoes to pick from. There are like 5 different type of apples, and like a bunch of different labels for them. Like why are there so many type, all I want is a few apples that I can grab for snacks during the week. Everything is made too complicated and there are never any description on them so you would have to stand there and Google everything. Not to mention the price of food nowadays, I never really realized how expensive things are. Like I would buy fruits, meat, and vegetables enough for 3 people and it would turn out to be like $70. I think price of things should get cheaper, along with being able to grab things easier with better descriptions on them because I feel like grocery shopping for people who can’t cook is like making them solving the rubik’s cube without any guidance.

3/1- Hair care market

Last week, I went to BJ’s to stock up on some stuff and saw a very interesting advertisement. I can’t really remember the specific brand of the conditioner but it was advertised as sulfate free but I found it pretty ridiculous. Conditioners never suppose to have any sulfates in it anyway. Sulfates are mainly uses in shampoo to strip any dirty things in your hair. It’s essentially a detergent to clean your hair. But the thing is conditioners is designed to put back some oil in your hair to make your hair less dry and gross because of the shampoo. So it never needed any sulfates in it to clean your hair anyway. This is a complete false advertising making people buy it because all they think about is the “sulfate free” but not about they only have the advertisement on the conditioner not the shampoo. It’s too easy for them to market things falsely and I completely hate it because it’s too deceptive and nowadays you really need to look at ingredients for things to make sure they didn’t market falsely.

3/10 Writing environment

I think the best environment for me to write is when I’m at my desk typing on my mechanical keyboards while listening music on my headphone. For some reason, whenever I don’t have my headphone on I can’t really focus even when there’s music playing out of speakers, or TV. Even when I only have the headphone on with no music on it still helps me focus for some reason I can’t really understand it. I think it’s just my most comfortable state because whenever I’m on my computer I would always have headphone on so I won’t disturb anyone around me. It’s what helps me concentrates best, even if I’m writing into a notebook instead of typing. Music, and the right headphone would optimize me for writing the most. I’m sure there are more comfortable ways for me to write with but I haven’t find it yet. I think it would all depends on my mood.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

3/3 Logan

I went to see Logan on the opening day. I’ve always been a fan of the X-men, and Wolverines series. Whenever I hear the word Wolverine out of anyone mouth I would always think of Hugh Jackman. It’s probably one of the best Marvel series out there that was made into movies. Hugh Jackman has made a huge impact on everyone’s lives and made everyone think of him as a Wolverine forever. I walked into the theater didn’t expect that this is the last Wolverine and X-men related movie ever. Well, there’s going to be remakes but this is the last one with this cast. It’s the end of an era, Hugh has been Wolverine for 17 years, the first X-men movie came out when I was 1. Overall, the movies was very well made. It was very typical for any actions movies especially the plot, the build up climax, etc. It was very distinct to me since we started talking about rhetoric in class. They did a very very good job on making everyone love the old wolfie, til the end. Even people who normally wouldn’t watch Wolverine probably would get sad during the movie. Throughout the movie, and til the end though, I keep hoping that Logan would somehow survive. I feel like it was a great way to end a series, but there was so many things they could have done to save him but they didn’t do any of them. It was sad and a great ending since Hugh Jackman is older now anyway. It was great movie overall and I was very sad for it to end.
