LETS Talk About OLLI Panel

20th Anniversary Reflections. June 10, 2019 – The “LETS Talk About OLLI Panel” started with a 10 a.m. coffee hour with donated cakes, cookies, and fruit in the Beacon Café in University Hall.

At 11 a.m., we moved to the nearby auditorium for the panel discussion monitored by Sharon Carey. Our panelists were all legacy members from the LETS (Life Enrichment Through Studies) era who are still involved as OLLI members: Dot Cole, Arlene Wolk, Milton Wolk, Joe Carlin (a founding facilitator), and our founding Director Wichian Rojanawon who graced us with a visit from his native Thailand where he lives in retirement. Wichian regaled us with the early history of funding and how LETS became OLLI.

After the panel discussion and questions, people went to the University Dining Commons for lunch together at several tables. The conversations that began at the coffee hour continued over lunch on this beautiful June day.
