My philosophy of good writing is that it has to be written about something that has an effect on you. Either something you’re interested in or wouldn’t mind learning about or if it’s something that you’ve actually experienced. All these things help you connect with the writing and in turn the author which makes the writing good writing to you. The good descriptions and the flow and engagingness of the writing itself all helps but without the connection to the writing it doesn’t mean much. Good writing needs to be relatable by the reader and I think that is the single most important thing in good writing.
