Teaching, research, and service in Special Education: What I'm learning

A new blog, for a new adventure

Hi everyone,

Thanks for checking out my blog.  I thought it was time to start a blog to chronicle my teachable moments.  A teachable moment can be thought of as an unexpected yet ideal opportunity to learn something new.  My first unexpected yet ideal opportunity?  I am traveling with a team of professors from UMass Boston to China this week to teach graduate students at Shaanxi Normal University in Xi’an.  I will be teaching a seminar about inclusive practices in the United States.  I am looking forward to learning with my students!!

This will be my very first time to Asia.  I am both nervous and excited, but most of all, look forward to sharing my adventures with you along the way.

  1. Looking forward to reading of your teaching … and learning … experiences in Xi’an! UMass Boston has sent a good representative of the school and of the USA to China. It will be mutually beneficial for you and your new students!
