I am Shihyu Yang (Shelly), born in Taipei, Taiwan on November 10th a junior nursing student at Umass Bosotn. At age 16, I decided to move to US to start my new journal. I came to Seattle and became an exchange student for a year in Columbia high school. After that I enrolled at the Green River Community College in WA. From there I quickly realized that I truly loved Health Care. Soon I made a decision that I was going to study to become a RN. Having studied in America for 8 years, I am deeply fascinated by the cultural differences. Right now I have a good chance to experience and learn Kenyan nursing system. I look forward to get to know the Kenya Heart & Sole Team! Not only learning from peers but also sharing with them my perspective as an international student who also has experienced nursing in two cultures.
