My name is Jeremy Weaver, and I’m a student at UMass Boston. I’m 25 years old, I’m passionate about all things music, film, and literature. I enjoy creative writing (poetry, lyrics, fiction) in my free time so I’m excited to add blogging to that ever-growing list. I grew up around Boston and have been here my entire life. I’ve worked in kitchens, bartended, worked construction, and just about every retail position you can imagine. I’m very interested and invested in leftist politics, and that political ideology frames the basis for a lot of the work that I do. As the semester has progressed, I’ve become much more efficient when producing projects using various forms of media. I also now plan to take the skills I’ve learned into my new concentration, Professional and New Media Writing. This will be a blog, portfolio, resource, etc. showcasing the ongoing work I’m conducting in ENGL 309: Multimedia Authoring, but beyond that I would like to make this a safe space where challenging ideas and narratives can be discussed, worked through, and understood in mindful, culturally responsive ways. I hope you enjoy the work you see on this page, as I very much enjoyed producing it.
