Jamila Gilliam earned her MBA with a Specialization in Finance at UMass Boston as well as her Bachelor of Science in Management. Gilliam’s research topics have developed through her interest in clean technology and renewable energy, social enterprise entrepreneurship, economic development, impact investing and climate change issues affecting coasts and communities on local levels and abroad. Gilliam is interested in learning about the methods and performance metrics used by clean technology firms, benefit corporations and impact investors when measuring positive environmental and social impact. She also plans to study how governmental, social, and environmental factors influence the decision-making processes of impact investors when developing portfolios.
