The first of many thing I must revise is the structure of my essay. A unique, non 5-paragraph essay is always fun, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it is always the most appealing. All of the 3 total paragraphs were very long and full with what I believed to be necessary details. This revision is not hard to make, I am going to break my main paragraphs into smaller paragraphs. These new smaller paragraphs should capture the main ideas of my initial paragraphs. The flows of the paragraphs should probably be brought together with some transitions sentences to make is smoother as well.
The next thing on the list for me to change would be my evidence. Currently I am lacking any quotations in my essay. A lot of my evidence is just paraphrasing or broad examples. In this next draft I am going to try to find some quotes about logos and evidence. That will be another thing I will need to incorporate into my structuring as well. I did not have quotes before so this should add more analysis.
Lastly, I plan on revising the focus of my argument. A lot of the time in the essay seems to lead off track and I usually forget to get back on. The stuff I say isn’t wrong, just extra or repetitive. This can be a problem because for someone who is reading something repetitive, it doesn’t sound very good. To eliminate the possibility of repeating myself I will go through and make sure they is not a word I said a lot. If there is a word that is repeated then I would have to find a synonym.
For the most part, the revision process of my essay should not be very hard, Most of my essay is there, I just need the concrete evidence(quotes) that will tie it all together. Adding the quotes not only add to my argument, but also will make my paper stronger than without them. It is always good to have supporting evidence.
