Yes, you may configure their blog account to work with various 3rd-party applications. This may allow you to edit blog posts and pages more easily, or on a mobile device. To do this, however, you will have to set up a new password for your UMass Boston blogs account.

Follow these steps:

1. First, login to your blog using your UMass Boston account password.
2. From your Dashboard, select  Users > Your Profile.
3. Type your password in the New Password input field, and make a note of what it is.
4. Click the Update button to update your options.

Note that your blog password that will now be de-linked from your “@umb.edu” email account. Thus, in the future it will not change automatically as you update your email account password.
