Friday’s Adventure in Glasgow

It was an exciting day in Glasgow! Our whole company was mesmerized by the beauty of  Loch Lomond. We woke up early to catch the train out at 9:50, and it was about a 40min train ride. We stayed here for a couple of hours and had lunch in a cafe next to the lake. Here are some of the pictures we took of the scenery:

Later in the day, we were taken out by Julie to dinner at Toni Macaroni near Glasgow’s Merchant Square. It was delicious Italian cuisine and the whole group had a wonderful dinner accompanied by an even better evening. Take a look at some of the pictures!

Friday is over and we only have one more day left. So many great memories have been made and we are all sad to be leaving soon.

First Day in Glasgow!

DSCN3057

The adventure began at Logan airport where all the Glasgow ambassadors met together at terminal E around 6:30pm. Each of our faces lit with excitement and anticipation, the day had finally come. Before we headed off to security all the ambassadors had the chance to say their last goodbyes to their loved ones. Also, Nikhil and I actually waited to say goodbye to one more person before we left, Pre-Med A’s own Shubi!

The travel from Boston to Glasgow was very smooth besides for one hiccup along the way. We arrived in Glasgow to meet up with Julie along with the GCU’s hosting party. On the bus ride to the hotel all of the ambassadors were surprised with the amount of GREEN we saw. Also, I thought it was so strange for the drivers to be siting on the right as opposed to the left along with driving on the opposite side of the road. It was so much to take in!

Upon arrival to the hotel all the members had a chance to brush up after a long and tiresome journey. After, the Glasgow hosting party took us to see get food from Blue Lagoon. The food here was very good and the server was incredibly kind. Come to think of it mostly everyone I talk to here is kind and humble. Once everyone ate food we toured around Glasgow’s center seeing places like the market and George Square.

I love Glasgow so much already. I can’t wait to explore more of what Glasgow has to offer in the next couple of days!
