Although the weather has been cold in Scotland, The amazing welcome we got from our Glaswegian host warmed all our hearts. The past weekend, we were able to learn a lot about them, and they about us. Like most forgeiners we compared our differences about our locations, schools, and culures. however we found almost none. I realized although our schools were really similar, one major thing that their school didn’t have were the communities. Many of them haven’t met prior to the GCU/UMass Boston exchange program. However I could tell that this program/ challenge made them into a community just like ours. They were  in their first stages of building a community just like ours! They were communicating constantly via mostly text messages, learning more about each other along the way, and just working  together to complete a task. It reminded me about the premed A community at the beginning of our first semester at UMass Boston. However they really rallied even with the disadvantage. It shows what a community can achieve even if they were just formed.
