Marvelous Monday! :D

Hey everyone,

Most times when you mention the word” Monday” it is followed by a heavy sigh or a grumble. Mondays are the start of the week and the day that usually requires caffeine to get through, BUT this past Monday, March 7th, was anything but a drag! It started off with a wonderful welcome breakfast with the GCU exchange students and the hosting teams from all three communities. We were also joined by the Dean, professors, and members of the student succeIMG_7868ss center staff. Along with great food, and conversation, the exchange students got welcome bags, and were introduced to more of the Umass students from all the communities. After the breakfast, The exchange students assigned to the Pre-med B community, joined us for our seminar class where we discussed stem cells. After that we all proceeded to go to chemistry class. We all tried hard to focus but I found it hard because of the excitement of the day. While the Umass students took a biology exam, the Exchange students were given a tour of our campus. At around 1 pm, we went to Chemistry lab. We completed the lab experiments and calculations and then we headed out to begin the sight seeing in Boston. We flew out of lab and headed to the train station!

We made a brief stop at the hotel before going Downtown.

We did some shopping, and walked around Boston seeing sights such as the State House, the frog pond, and the Boston Copley Library. IMG_7875IMG_7877IMG_2670

After exploring Boston, we went to Fire and Ice! It was a memorable day! IMG_8952
