Hello all!
So we are four days into our UMB-GCU exchange program and I personally think that it is going extremely well; I hope that my fellow students would agree with me. As of now, we have had much time to explore Boston and give our visiting students a feel of the city we know and love. This includes the positives and the negatives, such as gorgeous sights and aggravating train delays, respectively. It is all part of the experience, however, and everybody was incredibly good-natured about it. Last night we delved into the city once more to enjoy a dinner at Fire and Ice and, without a doubt, I can say that everybody enjoyed themselves amidst good food, great conversation and even greater friends. Pictures were taken (that I currently do not have access to, although they will be uploaded soon!) and spirits were high as dinner ended and turned into a venture to Quincy Market. Although the air was icy and the wind was strong, we weren’t phased as we grabbed ice cream and walked around for a true Bostonian night before heading to the T to finally get back home.
All in all, so far the events of the exchange are being executed extremely well and nobody is going through them without a smile on their face. We hope that this continues for the rest of the week and that the visiting students are given memories that last them a lifetime!
