Day 1 in Glasgow

Our first day in Glasgow was a success! Even after missing our connecting flight in Heathrow, we were able to make it to Glasgow before noon, and were able to explore the city, its shops, and even the River Clyde. After meeting Julie, Shona, Nabila, and Jack in the airport, we took a shuttle to the GCU campus and checked into our hotel. We grabbed food after we all got settled in (and Nikhil finally got his fish and chips) and we were able to walk around pretty freely. The fact that everything is genuinely green is probably the coolest thing to see here. Like the grass is so GREEN. Everything is green, and I love it.

9 10This was just as were were preparing to land in London. We only had an hour layover, and ended up missing our flight because of hangups in customs and security after my bag was stopped and re-searched.

These are just some of the things we were able to see walking around our first day in Glasgow. The first two are pictures of Buchannan Street, and the last picture is of George’s Green.

Nicole, Jen, Nikhil, Nicolla, and I were able to walk down to see the River Clyde while everyone else caught up on sleep.

Okay, so this is where I’m going to end it because I haven’t slept in nearly 36 hours. Goodnight!
