Hi all! I am Evan Lewis, and I am a high honors graduate of the Sport Leadership and Administration major at the University of Massachusetts Boston. I’m from Weymouth, Massachusetts (born and raised), and graduated from Weymouth High School in 2020. Growing up, nothing had a larger impact on my life than sports. I’ve been playing and watching sports for as long as I can remember. My favorite sports to both play and watch are definitely basketball and football. And if you couldn’t tell already, I am a diehard fan of both the Boston Celtics and New England Patriots. I chose to come to school at UMass Boston because I want nothing more than to work professionally in the sport industry, and the new Sport Leadership & Administration program here really caught my eye! It doesn’t matter whether that’d be with journalism, writing, graphic design, social media, etc. I’ve previously held an internship with a sports writing company (no longer in business) and now I have an internship at East Coast Sports Investors (ECSI) as a Graphic Design and Social Media Intern, and I look forward to future work opportunities in the sport industry…I’m open to anything!

At ECSI I was brought in as a social media and graphic design intern, but I’ve done my fair share of helping with editing and producing as well. My daily tasks include putting out the live show schedules on our socials every morning, as well as creating attention-grabbing graphics and posts for our social medias (I utilize Canva and Adobe Photoshop for all of the graphics I create). On some occasions, I’ll even watch the live shows and grab clips from them to post which I do so by utilizing the Da Vinci Resolve Editing software. I have also helped create templates and overlays for our live shows on Streamyard. One of my favorite projects I have worked on thus far was the commercial we made. Our company partnered with WagerWire, and me and a fellow intern created a thirty second advertisement that gets played at the beginning of every live show (video is under the ECSI Projects tab). I’ve really enjoyed my time at ECSI so far and absolutely see myself working a career in social media for sports!
