Throughout the term, you will be asked to compose a series of short blog posts in response to the texts and media objects we are working with in class.

Blog posts should:

  1. Take up the prompt as a point of departure
  2. Refer to specific examples from the text(s) under examination
  3. Be a minimum of 250 words
  4. Include a descriptive title and relevant tags for navigation and indexing

Blog posts must be posted on the course blog by 7am the day we discuss the text(s) in class. Late posts will receive no credit. You are encouraged to review the blog before coming to class and to comment constructively on your classmates’ posts.

You are required to submit 8 of the 10 assigned blog posts in order to receive full credit for the assignment. In other words, you may choose two posts to skip over. Please note that you are still responsible for completing the assigned reading/listening/viewing for that class period.
